RAWALPINDI, Pakistan: The security forces conducted an Intelligence-Based Operation (IBO) in Tirah area of Khyber district on the night of September 25/26, 2023 on reported presence of terrorists.

The Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) said that during the conduct of the operation, intense fire exchange took place between own troops and terrorists which resulted in killing of three terrorists including Terrorist Commander Kifayat alias Tor Adnan who was actively involved in multiple terrorist activities against Law Enforcement Agencies (LEAs) as well as killing of innocent civilians.

The ISPR said that the sanitization of the area was being carried out to eliminate any other terrorists found in the area.

It said that the security forces of Pakistan are determined to eliminate the menace of terrorism.
