ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif has accorded approval to senior diplomat Syrus Sajjad Qazi as new Foreign Secretary.

Syrus Qazi would assume responsibility as the 32nd Foreign Secretary of Pakistan on August 16. 2023 when Ambassador Dr. Asad Majeed Khan would retire.

Asad Majeed Khan assumed charge as 31st Foreign Secretary of Pakistan on December 2, 2022.
