ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Supreme Court of Pakistan has brushed aside media reports alleging that no audit of the Apex Court has been conducted for the last 10 years and that the Public Accounts Committee (PAC) has summoned the Registrar Supreme Court accordingly.Supreme Court terms media reports about its audit incorrect & misleadingIn reference to news reports regarding audit of the Supreme Court of Pakistan published widely in the print media on Wednesday, the Apex Court set the record straight and said the audit of the Supreme Court of Pakistan has been conducted and completed upto June 30, 2021.

The Court said that the audit for the Financial Year 2021-2022 is under process and can be confirmed from the office of the Auditor General of Pakistan.

It is, hereby, clarified in concrete terms that such reports are contrary to the facts, incorrect, misleading and are based on erroneous information placed before the Public Accounts Committee, the Apex Court said.
