TOKYO, Japan: The National Day of Pakistan was celebrated at the Embassy of Pakistan in Tokyo on Thursday with traditional zeal, fervor and enthusiasm.

The ceremony was attended by a sizeable number of Pakistanis as well as Japanese nationals.

The ceremony commenced with recitation from the Holy Quran followed by the national anthem of Pakistan.

Pakistan’s Ambassador to Japan Raza Bashir Tarar hoisted the national flag while the national anthem was played.

The ambassador read out the Pakistan Day Messages of President Dr. Arif Alvi and Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif.

Ambassador Raza Bashir Tarar also paid tribute to the Pakistani community in Japan for its achievements and contributions.

Special Supplements were published in two leading English newspapers of Japan.

The National Day of Pakistan related gatherings were also arranged in different parts of Japan by community groups.
