Explaining Istanbul Declaration, he was of the view:

“Signed as a part of the second trilateral meeting of the parliament speakers of Azerbaijan, Turkiye, and Pakistan the declaration will help to improve trade connectivity, cooperation, people-to-people relations, and travel facilities between three brotherly countries,”.

Talking about the situation in the South Caucasus, the ambassador mentioned that Pakistan strongly supports Azerbaijan’s initiative to normalize relations with Armenia and the efforts to open Zangezur corridor. It was said that the opening of new transport corridors is also in the interests of Pakistan.

“Azerbaijan and Pakistan have historically enjoyed excellent coordinate relations. Today we work closely on the issue of demining of the liberated territories of Azerbaijan where Pakistani companies are also active in reconstruction activities”, he added.
