The Security Forces conducted an Intelligence Based Operation (IBO) in Datta Khel area of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s North Waziristan district on July 13 on reported presence of terrorists.

The Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) said that own troops executed the successful operation and killed six terrorists.

They also recovered weapons and ammunition from the killed terrorists.

The ISPR said that the killed terrorists remained actively involved in terrorist activities against security forces.

However, during the intense exchange of fire with terrorist, 34-year-old Lance Naik Islam Ud Din, who was the resident of Khyber district, embraced shahadat while fighting gallantly.

The ISPR said that the sanitization of the area is being carried out to eliminate any other terrorists found in the area.
