Foreign OfficeFO rejects India’s attempt to malign Pakistan in Udaipur Murder Case

ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Foreign Office has rejected the Indian attempt to link an accused involved in a murder case in Udaipur City of India’s western Rajasthan State with an organization in Pakistan.

As per the Indian media, the investigation into the recent murder of a tailer named Kanhaiya Lal in Udaipur has revealed that Mohammed Ghous, one of the two people arrested for the attack on Kanhaiya Lal, had visited Karachi in 2014 and had links with the Pakistan-based Dawat-e-Islami organisation

In a statement on Wednesday, the Spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Islamabad Asim Iftikhar Ahmad said that we have seen reports in a segment of the Indian media referring to investigations into the murder case in Udaipur, mischievously seeking to link the accused individuals, Indian nationals, to an organization in Pakistan.

“We categorically reject any such insinuations, which are typical of the BJP-RSS ‘Hindutva’ driven Indian regime’s attempts at maligning Pakistan including by externalizing their internal issues through pointing of fingers towards Pakistan,” he said.

The Spokesperson said that such malicious attempts will not succeed in misleading the people, either in India or abroad.

The Background:

Indian police arrested two men on Tuesday 28th June, after they allegedly beheaded a Hindu tailor Kanhaiya Lal on camera over his online support for Nupur Sharma for her derogatory remarks against Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). This incident happened in the Udaipur area of Rajasthan.

The question is why did these two youngsters go to such an extent? The answer is because of justice is delayed. It is almost a month after Nupur Sharma’s derogatory remarks, yet BJP government has done nothing to address the grievances of the Muslim community. From Babri Masjid’s demolition to Hijab Row, there are hundreds of anti-Muslim events still awaiting justice. Blasphemous remarks might be the breaking point as the level of Muslim affiliation with the Prophet is beyond explanation.

Rather than putting the house in order, Indian Home Minister Amit Shah is trying to divert the attention towards the involvement of foreign hands. Meanwhile, some of the puppet BJP journalists are directly blaming Pakistan without any concrete evidence. Indian media is beating the drums constantly, fabricating the involved individual’s links with Pakistan/Karachi-based Dawat-e-Islami. Press Trust of India while quoting Rajasthan police chief tweeted that “Ghouse Mohammad, involved in tailor killing in Udaipur, has links with Pakistan-based Dawat-e-Islami organization”.

It has become a second habit of Indians to blame others, especially Pakistan, whenever there is an incident involving Muslims. On the other hand, the Disinfo lab report is a clear example of Indian designs against Pakistan. In a pre-recorded message, the killer clearly identified his motives behind the beheading. Even urged others to stand up against the brutalities they are bearing for ages at the hands of Hindutva extremists.

Rather than reviewing their own policies, their focus remains on blaming Pakistan on one count or the other. Disinfolab-type projects established by India to defame Pakistan exposes real Indian motives. But from backing Sikhs’ movement of 1984 to Mumbai attacks/Pathankot incident/Pulwama attack etc, India failed to provide any concrete evidence against Pakistan.  As it is evident from history that a mere blame game will not solve the issue but India is a country, that learned nothing from history. Blaming Pakistan for its own inefficiencies will never help out.

Rather than blaming others, India should thoroughly investigate the issue and try to dig out the reasons behind the incident as well as solutions to resolve them. Sentiments of the Muslims are currently simmering but are about to boil. If their religious sentimentalities go unaddressed then time is not far when there will be chaos in India.
