ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Iranian Interior Minister Ahmad Vahidi will visit Pakistan on February 14, his Pakistani Counterpart Sheikh Rashid Ahmed told media in Islamabad on Wednesday.

Earlier on February 7, the Saudi Interior Minister Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Nayef bin Abdulaziz Al Saud also visited Pakistan and held meetings with Pakistani leadership including President Dr. Arif Alvi, Prime Minister Imran Khan, the Interior Minister Sheikh Rashid Ahmed, and the Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa to discuss issues of mutual interest including the regional security situation.

Alluding to Pakistan’s significance in the global arena, Sheikh Rashid said that Prime Minister Imran Khan will undertake a visit to Russia in February 2022 at the invitation of the Russian President Vladimir Putin.

The interior minister further said that that salaries of all civil armed forces have been enhanced by 15 percent and that he has requested the prime minister to raise the salaries of other departments as well.

Responding to a question, he said that Prime Minister Imran Khan faces no threat from the opposition parties who will face defeat if opted for the no confidence motion.

Sheikh Rashid also said that the NADRA Offices will be spread to the far flung areas of the Country. He said that 13 Passport Offices will be established in Interior Sindh whilst Succession Certificate will also be introduced in Azad Kashmir and Balochistan.
