ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Kashmir Solidarity Day is being observed on Saturday to express wholehearted support of the Pakistani nation to the just struggle of Kashmiri people for their inalienable right to self-determination under the UN Security Council resolutions.

The Day is annually observed on February 5 to expose the worst ever oppression being perpetrated by the Indian occupational forces against Kashmiris in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK).

In connection with Kashmir Solidarity Day, a one-minute silence was observed at 10:00 am today across the Country.

Walks are also being organized in Islamabad, Muzaffarabad, Gilgit, and in four Provincial Capitals to express solidarity with the people of Indian Occupied Kashmir.

Likewise, the formation of human chains at Kohala and other important points linking Pakistan and Azad Kashmir is also featuring in today’s main events.

In Muzaffarabad, the Special Session of the Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) Legislative Assembly has also been summoned to express solidarity with the oppressed people of the Indian Occupied Kashmir who are enduring Indian atrocities for the past seven decades.

President of Pakistan Dr. Arif Alvi will address the AJK Legislative Assembly Special Session.

Meanwhile, the Spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Asim Iftikhar Ahmad has shared a song ‘My Kashmir’ by Zohaib Zaman, which, he dedicated to the people of Indian Occupied Kashmir who are facing Indian repression with unshakeable resolve & exemplary fortitude.

“This Kashmir Solidarity Day Pakistan reiterates its commitment to Kashmiris till realization of their right to self-determination,” the Spokesperson wrote on his official Twitter account.
