Both Afghanistan and Scotland are in Group A of the T20 World Cup 2021 along with Pakistan, India, New Zealand, and Namibia.

Earlier last night, Pakistan finally managed to break the shackles and sealed an emphatic 10-wicket victory against India at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium. It was Pakistan’s first-ever win against India at any World Cup.

In their 20 overs while batting first, India put 171 runs on the board for the loss of 7 wickets. In reply, Pakistan reached the target in 17.5 overs with all 10 wickets in hand.

Pakistan’s left-arm Shaheen Afridi entirely outclassed the Indian top-order batsmen as Rohit Sharma, KL Rahul and Suryakumar Yadav had returned to the pavilion for an overall score of 31.

The Indian Captain Virat Kohli along with Rishabh Pant and Ravindra Jadeja built two partnerships of 53 and 41 runs and led his side to a reasonable score of 151 in full stipulated overs.

Kohli with 57 runs off 49 balls remained the highest scorer for India followed by Rishabh Pant who hammered 39 runs.

In the pursuit of 152 runs target, both Pakistani openers Mohammad Rizwan and Babar Azam played exceptionally well and steered the side to a thumping victory without losing their wickets.
