ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The COVID-19 took 112 more lives across Pakistan on April 16, raising the number of total fatalities to 16,094.

The latest statistics released by the National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC) showed that in the last 24 hours, 62 patients died of Coronavirus in Punjab, 36 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 5 each in Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) and Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK), 3 in Sindh, and 1 in Balochistan.

Out of 16,094 fatalities caused by the virus so far in the Country, 7,333 have been recorded in Punjab, 4,544 in Sindh, 2,832 in KPK, 631 in ICT, 428 in AJK, 223 in Balochistan, and 103 in Gilgit-Baltistan.

The statistics showed that the COVID-19 national positivity ratio stood at 7.62% on April 16 as a total of 65,279 people were tested for Coronavirus in the last 24 hours, and 4,976 of them were found positive.

In total, the Country has so far registered 750,158 Coronavirus Cases.

Of them, 271,524 belong to Sindh, 264,010 to Punjab, 104,480 to KPK, 68,906 to Islamabad, 20,760 to Balochistan, 15,304 to AJK, and 5,174 to the Gilgit-Baltistan region.

With a ratio of 87.3%, 654,956 patients have so far recovered from the COVID-19 in the Country whereas 79,108 patients are still undergoing the treatment.
