ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Coronavirus took 84 more lives across Pakistan on April 2; thus now the total death toll in the Country has risen to 14,697, according to the National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC).

In the last 24 hours, Punjab recorded 38 COVID deaths, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa 35, Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) 4, and Sindh, Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) and Balochistan 2 each.

The NCOC’s data showed that 50,186 people were tested across the Country on April 2 and 4,723 of them were found positive, recording a positivity ratio of 9.41%.

The Country has so far reported a total of 682,888 Coronavirus Cases since February 26, 2020.

Out of them, 266,173 Cases have been reported in Sindh, 228,356 in Punjab, 90,262 in KPK, 60,197 in ICT, 19,679 in Balochistan, 13,176 in AJK, and 5,045 in Gilgit-Baltistan.

Similarly, out of 14,697 COVID-19 fatalities, 6,523 have been recorded in Punjab, 4,506 in Sindh, 2,417 in KPK, 574 in ICT, 363 in AJK, 211 in Balochistan, and 103 in Gilgit-Baltistan.

As per the NCOC’s data, 609,691 COVID-19 patients have so far recovered in the Country whereas as of April 3, 58,500 patients are undergoing treatment.
