ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Further 4,468 people tested positive for Coronavirus across Pakistan in the last 24 hours with a ratio of 10.09%, the latest statistics released by the National Command & Operation Centre (NCOC) on Saturday morning showed.

The statistics revealed that 44,279 COVID-19 tests were conducted in the Country on March 26 and of them, 4,468 returned positive.

The NCOC’s statistics also showed that 67 COVID-19 patients breathed their last across the Country on March 26. Of them, 48 patients died in Punjab, 14 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK), 2 each in Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) and Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK), and 1 in Sindh.

Province-wise COVID-19 Positivity Rate:

Sindh  –              2.63%

Punjab –             14.14%

KPK –                 11.86%

ICT –                  10.74%

Balochistan –       3.96%

AJK –                  13.95%

Gilgit-Baltistan –   2.25%

With the detection of further Coronavirus Cases, now the total number of infections in the Country has reached 649,824.

Out of them, 264,355 Cases have been registered in Sindh, 210,095 in Punjab, 83,630 in KPK, 55,056 in ICT, 19,453 in Balochistan, 12,245 in AJK, and 4,990 in Gilgit-Baltistan.

Likewise, the nation-wide fatalities caused by COVID-19 have now jumped to 14,158. Punjab has suffered 6,190 deaths, Sindh 4,487, KPK 2,274, ICT 557, AJK 342, Balochistan 205, and Gilgit-Baltistan 103.

As per the NCOC’s statistics, 593,282 patients have so far recovered from the virus across Pakistan.

Whereas the total Active COVID-19 Cases in Pakistan as of March 27 are 42,384.
