ISLAMABAD: PML-N’s nominee for the post of Prime Minister Mian Nawaz Sharif has decided to keep the crucial foreign and defense portfolios himself.

The decision was taken at the high-level meeting presided over by Nawaz Sharif here on Sunday.

According to sources privy to the meeting, foreign Pakistani diplomat Tariq Fatimi will be Nawaz Sharif’s adviser on foreign affairs.

Senior PML-N leader Khawaja Asif will get the all-important water and power ministry while Chaudhry Nisar will take on interior ministry.

Shahid Khaqan Abbasi is likely to be handed the petroleum ministry.
