  • Mushaal demands UN to force India to return his body to family

ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: While paying rich tributes to Muhammad Maqbool Butt, Mushaal Hussein Mullick, the wife of Chairman Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front Yasin Malik, has maintained that the martyrs are the real assets of the Kashmiris’ freedom struggle against Indian yoke and their mission will be accomplished at all costs.

In her video message on Thursday on the occasion of the 37th martyrdom anniversary of prominent Kashmiri leader Muhammad Maqbool Butt, Mushaal Mullick, who is also Chairperson of Peace and Culture Organisation, said that he kissed the gallows but refused to bow before the Indian hegemony.

The Kashmiri leader said that the torch of freedom struggle was later taken by Yasin Malik after Maqbool’s brutal assassination.

Mushaal vowed that the mission of martyrs would keep illuminating Kashmiris’ struggle for freedom from Indian yoke and they would never allow any sell-out of the exemplary sacrifices of their martyrs.

Mushaal Mullick said that Maqbool Butt was handed in New Delhi’s Tihar Jail for his leading role in the Kashmiris’ ongoing freedom movement and buried him in the premises of the prison.

The Chairperson said that Indian authorities have not returned the mortal remains of the martyred leader to his family for proper burial despite consistent demand by the people of the occupied territory.

The Kashmir leader appealed that the United Nations should force the Indian government to hand over the dead body of the Kashmiri hero to his family, adding that India cannot subdue the Kashmiris’ struggle through the barrel of the gun and the tyrant India should shun its stubbornness and let the Kashmiris to decide their fate as per their wishes and the UN Security Council agreed resolutions.
