ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The tally of Coronavirus Cases in Pakistan has reached 524,783 while the death toll has risen to 11,103, as per the latest statistics released by the National Command & Operation Centre (NCOC) on Wednesday morning.

On January 19, 39,604 tests were conducted to ascertain the prevalence of the virus among the people. Their results found 1,772 people positive at a positivity rate of 4.47%.

Additionally, 48 COVID patients died of the disease in the last 24 hours. The most fatalities occurred in Sindh which recorded 17 deaths on January 19 followed by Punjab wherein 16 people died.

In the last 24 hours, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa suffered 8 deaths, Islamabad 3, Azad Kashmir 2, and Balochistan & Gilgit-Baltistan 1 each.

So far, a total of 524,783 Coronavirus Cases have been detected in the Country since February 26 last year.

In Sindh, 237,308 Cases have so far emerged; in Punjab, 150,889 Cases; in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 64,078 Cases; in Islamabad, 40,304 Cases, in Balochistan, 18,640 Cases; in AJK, 8,672 Cases; and in Gilgit-Baltistan, 4,892 Cases.

In terms of fatalities, Punjab has suffered 4,476 deaths, Sindh 3,830, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa 1,799, Islamabad 460, AJK 245, Balochistan 191, and Gilgit-Baltistan 102.

To date, 478,517 COVID patients have been recovered across Pakistan whereas as of January 20, the total active COVID Cases in Pakistan are 35,163.
