ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Indian Charge d’Affaires Gaurav Ahluwalia was summoned to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Islamabad on Tuesday to register Pakistan’s strong protest over the ceasefire violations by the Indian forces along the Line of Control (LoC) on Monday, resulting in one Shahadat and serious injuries to four innocent civilians.
The Indian forces carried out the indiscriminate and unprovoked firing in Tandar Sector of the LoC.
Resultantly, 15-year-old Waleed embraced shahadat while 25-year-old Misba Begum, 45-year-old Zaheer Abbas, 80-year-old Qasim Sain, and 26-year-old Suleman sustained serious injuries.
The victims were residents of Sona valley and Kartan village.
This year, India has committed 2,387 ceasefire violations to date, resulting in 19 shahadats and serious injuries to 191 innocent civilians.
Meanwhile, Pakistan army troops responded and targeted those Indian posts which initiated fire in Baroh and Tandar Sectors along the LoC, according to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).
In the intense exchange of fire, Pakistan army Sepoy Shafique fighting valiantly embraced shahadat.
The substantial damage was reportedly inflicted to Indian posts in men and material.
