ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Locusts are reported in Nagarparkar area of Sindh’s Tharparkar district adjacent to the Indian border, as per the National Locust Control Centre (NLCC).

In a statement on Tuesday, the NLCC said that no Locust is present in Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa provinces.

However, it is present in one district of Balochistan and one district of Sindh.Locusts - Locusts are reported in Nagarparkar area of Sindh’s Tharparkar district adjacent to the Indian border, as per the National Locust Control Centre (NLCC). In the Last 24 hours, 194,500 hectares area has been surveyed. In the last 24 hours, ground control operation has been carried out on 1,320 hectares area of Tharparkar district. Whereas the aerial control operation with the help of Beaver Aircraft has been carried out over 400 Hectares in the area Diplo of Tharparkar district. In the last six months, the control operation has been carried out on 1,106,463 hectares area of land.

The NLCC said that in the last 24 hours, 194,500 hectares area has been surveyed.

In the last 24 hours, the ground control operation has been carried out on 1,320 hectares area of Tharparkar district.

Whereas the aerial control operation with the help of Beaver Aircraft has been carried out over 400 Hectares in the area Diplo of Tharparkar district.

In the last six months, the control operation has been carried out on 1,106,463 hectares area of land.
