NCOC completes 100 days of national effort against COVID-19

ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The number of recovered Pakistanis from Coronavirus (COVID-19) was recorded more than the total active Cases across the Country on Saturday, which also marked the completion of 100 days of the National Command and Operation Centre’s (NCOC) national effort against the pandemic.

To date, a total of 125,094 COVID-19 patients have been recovered across Pakistan while the now total active Cases in the Country remain to be 95,570.

By and large, since February 26 a total of 225,283 people have been infected by Coronavirus in the Country including 3,387 tested positive on July 3.

In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 27,506 people have contracted the virus; in Islamabad 13,292 people; in Balochistan 10,717 people; in Gilgit-Baltistan 1,536 people; and in Azad Kashmir 1,214 people. The highest number of deaths has occurred in Punjab wherein 1,844 people have passed away of the disease. To pay tribute to front line heroes against COVID-19, the national leadership will visit various hospitals/healthcare facilities across Pakistan on Saturday to acknowledge the ongoing untiring efforts of doctors/ nurses/paramedics and healthcare workers for their meritorious services.  On its 100 days of ongoing efforts, the NCOC pays tribute to people of Pakistan who showed great resilience and health seeking behaviour to fight the pandemic, emergency responders, law enforcement agencies (LEAs) and all those who shared this journey towards a healthy Pakistan.
