Pakistan records over 4,000 Coronavirus Cases in single day

ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Pakistan recorded 4,131 new Cases of Coronavirus (COVID-19), the highest figure in a day on June 2, taking the toll to 80,463.

In the last 24 hours, the highest number of Cases emerged in Punjab wherein 1,639 people were tested positive followed by Sindh which detected 1,439 new Cases.

The death toll across the Country has also mounted to 1,688 after 67 further people succumbed to the disease in the last 24 hours.

However, the Country succeeded to conduct the highest number of COVID-19 tests on June 2.

On June 2, 17,370 tests were conducted including 6,926 in Punjab and 5,454 in Sindh. Likewise, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has so far detected 10,897 Coronavirus Cases, Balochistan 4,740, Islamabad 3,188, Gilgit-Baltistan 779, and Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) 284.
