WANA, Pakistan: The sole Coronavirus patient Mosam Khan, who belonged to scenic valley Shakkai, celebrated his release from isolation center Wana with traditional attan (dance) after defeating the life-taking disease, as he was tested negative for the virus.

The jubilant Mosam Khan, popularly known as Khan Malik, praised his doctors for their attitude and fearless approach of treatment after discharging from the quarantine facility.

He said that the health officials should be awarded with high awards, as they were very kind and caring due to which he succeeded in defeating the deadly virus.

Mosam Khan’s dancing video widely shared on social media, where he could be seen with health official rejoicing his discharge after recovery from the deadly virus.

Speaking on the occasion, a doctor said that the district administration was brought to him on April 9, 2020 and he was tested for the virus on April 10, which was positive.

He said that Mosam Khan was tested against after seven days and was tested negative for the virus; however, at the same time his treatment was continued.

The doctor went on to say that he was kept in the center and test for third time which was also negative; hence he was discharged from the quarantine eventually.

Talking on the occasion, Assistant Commissioner South Waziristan Amir Nawaz saluted the health officials for their efforts to defeat the Coronavirus as it was their efforts, dedications and commitments due to which the sole Coronavirus case tested negative.

It is pertinent to mention here that Deputy Commissioner Hafizabad wrote to Deputy Commissioner South Waziristan on April 8, 2020 that two persons namely Mosam Khan and Nek Dilay were quarantined at Masjid Khalid bin Walid, Chak Chatha district Fafizabad for Tableegh purposes.

As per intrusions of the government, the health teams started conducting their COVID-19 virus tests on April 7, 2020 and the above persons managed to slip away from the aforementioned quarantine facility.

The letter further reads, “This act on the part of above said persons have raised alarm that these persons were suspects of Coronavirus as they intentionally avoided to get conducted their tests. Accordingly, it is requested that the above said persons be traced and quarantined and their Corona tests be conducted at the earliest to rule out the chances of transmission of Coronavirus in their families and local community.

The district administration of South Waziristan took no time and traced both the suspects the other day. Nek Dilay was tested negative and was allowed to go home, while Mosam Khan was tested positive and was kept in isolation until he was declared fit.
