TEHRAN, Iran: The deadly Coronavirus (COVID-19) is killing one Iranian every 10 minutes, the Country’s Health Ministry said, reflecting an appalling situation the Islamic Republic is dealing with.

The Islamic Republic of Iran is the third-worst affected Country after China and Italy with 1,284 deaths. While the number of Coronavirus-infected persons in Iran has amounted to 18,407.

In a statement on Thursday, the Iranian Health Ministry Spokesperson Kianoush Jahanpour said that more than 50 people are being infected with the Pandemic every 10 minutes in Iran.

Meanwhile, the Iranian Deputy Health Minister Ali-Reza Raeesi has said that in the past 24 hours, 1,046 new COVID-19 Cases have been diagnosed, and 149 people have passed away.

Ali-Reza Raeesi further said that 5,979 infected Iranians have recovered so far.

Not only, thousands of Iranians have been found with Coronavirus Symptoms but numerous pilgrims from the Middle East, South Asia and the Central Asian Republics who had gone to Iran have now also been tested positive for the virus.
