ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Welcoming the US President Donald Trump’s statement regarding the resolution of Kashmir dispute, the detained Kashmiri leader Mohammad Yasin Malik’s wife Mushaal Hussein Mullick has demanded that the United States should press India to sort out the decades-long Kashmir issue as per aspiration of the people of the occupied valley.

In her reaction to the US president’s reiteration of mediation offer once again, the Peace and Culture Organization Chairperson Mushaal Hussein Mullick said that the situation in Kashmir is fast deterioration due to the unabated state terrorism and the prolonged curfew in the Indian Occupied Kashmir.

It is pertinent to mention here that at an interaction with the press in Davos ahead of the meeting with Pakistan’s Prime Minister Imran Khan in Davos, Trump repeated his mediation offer once again. “We will discuss the situation in Kashmir. We can meditate on the issue. We are working with Pakistan on some borders and we were talking about Kashmir in relation to what is going on between Pakistan and India. If we can help, we certainly will be helping. We have been watching that and following it very very closely,” Trump said.

Mushaal said that she welcomed the US president’s statement and hoped that he would press the notorious Indian government to resolve the long-pending Kashmir dispute once and for all.

Mushaal said that Indian brutal forces converted Kashmir into a garrison city where curfew has been imposed for the last five months and the US should play its due role to force the administration to lift the curfew.

The Chairperson said that the dwellers of the heaven-like valley have been passing through great ordeal due to siege as there is an acute shortage of basic needs.

Yasin Malik’s wife went on to say that thousands of young Kashmir along with top Hurriyat leadership are in Indian jails and the United Nation and the world powers should play their role to ensure their release from the jails.

Mushaal Hussein Mullick further said that Indian forces unleashed a wave of barbarism and inhuman acts in the valley, and the UN and human rights organizations should raise voice against the fascist Narendra Modi-led government continued atrocities and brutalities.
