LAHORE, Pakistan: The winter vacations in Punjab have been extended till January 12, 2020 due to extreme weather conditions, the Punjab Education Minister Murad Raas said on Monday.

All Public & Private Schools throughout the province will now reopen on Monday (January 13, 2020).

“In the wake of weather conditions, the winter vacations are hereby extended w.e.f. 07.01.2020 to 12.01.2020 in all Punjab & Private Schools in Punjab. All schools (Public & Private) shall re-open on 13th January, 2020, said the notification issued by the Punjab School Education Department on Monday.Winter vacations in Punjab extended till January 12

Prior to it, the Punjab School Education Department had announced the winter vacations in all Public & Private Schools across the province from December 20, 2019 to January 5, 2020.

It’s worth noting that different parts of the Country including Islamabad and Rawalpindi are receiving intermittent rain while as per the Pakistan Metrological Department, the current spell of rains will continue across the Country for the next two days.

Therefore, severe cold weather has gripped much of the Country.
