ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: As the Christian Community is celebrating Christmas across Pakistan like elsewhere in the world on Wednesday, the Civil and Military leadership of the Country also wished a happy Christmas to all Christians.

In his twitter message, President Dr Arif Alvi wrote “Merry Christmas to Christians the world over and specially to those in Pakistan, with a message of peace, according to Jesus himself who said ‘Peace I leave with you and my peace I give you'”.

Prime Minister Imran Khan wrote on Twitter “Wishing all our Christian citizens a Happy Christmas.” while the Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi wrote “Merry Christmas to all celebrating. May we spread happiness, joy, and peace on this occasion.”

The Prime Minister’s Special Assistant on Information and Broadcasting Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan also extended greetings to the Christian Community across the world especially in Pakistan.

The President of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Shahbaz Sharif wrote on twitter “Wishing all Christian brothers and sisters on the festive occasion of Christmas! May this day bring peace, happiness and prosperity for all!”

The Director General Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) Major General Asif Ghafoor wrote “Very Merry Christmas to Christians in Pakistan, across the globe and especially to the ones in the states of Odisha and alike under the Hindutva obsessed environment.”

The Federal Minister for Human Rights Dr Shireen Mazari wrote on twitter “Wishing everyone celebrating, a wonderful, peaceful & safe Christmas. As families celebrating get together for Christmas, please pray for the safety of those in conflict zones, refugees from conflict zones & those suffering under Occupation.”

The Minister for Planning, Development and Special Initiative Asad Umar wrote “Wishing Christians in Pakistan and around the world a very merry Christmas”.

Besides, the Chief Minister Punjab Sardar Usman Buzdar also wished Merry Christmas to the Christian brethren in Pakistan.
