ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: As many as 1,428,810 people lodged their complaints through Pakistan Citizen Portal in last one year; however, only 40 percent of them voiced satisfaction over redressal of their grievances.

Pakistan Citizen Portal was launched on October 28, 2018 by Prime Minister Imran Khan, enabling the people to have a direct access to various government organizations for resolution of their issues.Only 40% of people satisfied over redressal of their grievances through Pakistan Citizen Portal

It’s been over a year now since the launch, and as per the documents, out of 1,428,810 complaints lodged by citizens through the mobile app in last one year, 1,254,363 were resolved.

The documents state that over 87 percent of complaints were resolved but only 40 percent of complainants expressed their satisfaction over the entire process and resented over the administration’s inability to take their issues to their logical end.

The documents further state that over 150,000 complainants gave positive feedback in the portal.

Sources said that a ceremony will soon be organized over the completion of one year of Pakistan Citizen Portal’s launch, and in which the prime minister will release a report about its one-year performance.

Meanwhile, red letters have been issued to Secretaries of 27 Ministries for not providing the required details.

Taking notice of officers for their inaction on citizen’s complaints being lodged on the Citizen Portal, the Prime Minister Office has directed all ministries and departments to constitute five members committees to conduct performance evaluation and submit their reports within 30 days.

The committee will be headed by a 20 grade officer or a joint secretary, and it will submit its report after the evaluation of deployed officers. It will also point out misconduct in all reports on citizen portal including resolved and pending complaints.
