KAULA LUMPUR, Malaysia: The Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi has said that Pakistan’s economy is now heading towards stability as a result of difficult decisions taken by the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government.

Talking to the Business Community at a reception in Kuala Lumpur on Monday, the foreign minister said that our positive economic policies have restored confidence of foreign investors and it is the first time in the last three years that the volume of investment has reached $340 million.

The minister invited the Malaysian investors to invest in different sectors of Pakistan including information technology, energy, halal food, oil and gas and construction of inexpensive houses.

Shah Mahmood Qureshi said that the government is undertaking sincere efforts to ensure ease of doing business and this is the reason that the World Bank has declared Pakistan amongst the top ten improvers in the ease of doing business.

Shah Mahmood Qureshi is in Malaysia to attend Kuala Lumpur Summit 2019

The Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi is in Malaysia on a two-day visit to attend the Kuala Lumpur Summit 2019 on the invitation extended to him by his Malaysian Counterpart Saifuddin Abdullah.

During his visit, the foreign minister will also hold talks with the Malaysian leadership including Prime Minister Mahathir Mohamad.

Qureshi will also visit Pakistan High Commission and inaugurate a Community Center established for facilitation of Pakistani Community.
