LAHORE, Pakistan: President Dr Arif Alvi on Wednesday stressed for introduction of e-textbooks in the Country to impart latest knowledge to the youth.

In his address at the annual Conference of Asian Association of Open Universities in Lahore, he noted that the world had changed due to revolution in the information technology.

The president said modern communication tools should have fully been utilized to impart knowledge. He said today the people had access to their favorite books through the internet.

Dr Arif Alvi also highlighted the importance of distance learning, saying it helped save time and expenditures.
