LAHORE, Pakistan: The rule of law and absence of disparity merely remain as political rhetoric as the people have been banned to enter the historic Shalimar Bagh in Lahore for morning walk on September 17 and 18 owing to a visit of an ‘Official delegation’.

As per a notification issued by the Administrator Shalimar Bagh, an important official delegation will visit the garden (bagh); therefore, the facility will remain closed for morning walk on Tuesday and Wednesday.

The notification asked the visitors to cooperate with the staff and demonstrate good citizenship.

Daily thousands of visitors flock to Shalimar Bagh (Shalimar Garden), a marvel of Mughal garden architecture. It is one of the greatest gardens in the world, representing of the Islamic concept of Paradise.

Shalimar Bagh was inscribed on the World Heritage List in 1981.
