ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi has said that the judgment of the Indian Supreme Court has vindicated the stance of Pakistan over the Kashmir situation.

In a statement on Monday, Qureshi said that the Indian Supreme Court has issued directives to restore normalcy in the Occupied Jammu and Kashmir. He said that if the orders are not acted upon, the Indian Constitution will be decimated.

Shah Mahmood Qureshi said that the Indian government is trampling upon the international laws.

The foreign minister said that the Indian media should also be allowed to visit the Jammu and Kashmir along with the Congress leader Ghulam Nabi Azad. He said that if realities were not overlook, there wouldn’t be any curfew in the besieged valley.

The normal life remains affected in the Indian Occupied Jammu and Kashmir for the 43rd consecutive day today as shops remains shut and public transport is off the roads. The educational institutions are also presenting a deserted look because of the military clampdown and communications blackout.

Earlier in the day, the Indian Supreme Court asked the Centre and Jammu and Kashmir (J&K) government to ensure normal life in the Kashmir valley. It also allowed the former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister and senior Congress leader Ghulam Nabi Azad to visit Srinagar, Anantnag, Baramulla and Jammu.
