Gujranwala, Pakistan: COAS Gen Qamar Bajwa has said that solidarity displayed by the nation with Kashmiri brethren during Kashmir Hour today is (was) a strong message to the world and deteriorating situation in Indian Occupied Kashmir is threat to regional peace.

 

He visited HQ Gujranwala Corps today and was briefed about operational preparedness. “Solidarity displayed by the nation with Kashmiri brethren during Kashmir Hour today is a strong message to the world. Deteriorating situation in IOJ&K is threat to regional peace”, COAS.

It is pertinent to mention that on August 30, 2019, whole Pakistan went to a standstill on Friday noon in observance of Kashmir Hour to express solidarity with the oppressed Kashmiris in Indian Occupied Kashmir.

Sirens were sounded to mark the Kashmir Solidarity Hour followed by playing of national and Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) anthems.
The Kashmir Solidarity Hour was observed for half hour from 12:00 pm to 12:30 pm throughout the Country, in which, the people stepped outside their offices, houses or wherever they were, and spent time under the naked sky waving Pakistani and AJK flags and raising pro-Kashmir slogans.
