HealthHow to get rid of acne

Acne is a skin condition that occurs when your hair follicles become plugged with oil and dead skin cells. It often causes whiteheads, blackheads or pimples, and usually appears on the face, forehead, chest, upper back and shoulders. It is the most common skin conditions in the world. At least more than 85% of people are affected by acne at some point of their lives.

There are treatments available, but in some cases acne can be difficult to deal with. The pimples and bumps heal slowly, and when one begins to go away, others seem to crop up on the skin which can be pretty annoying. Depending upon its severity, acne can cause emotional distress and put scars on the skin. The earlier you start treatment, the lower your risk of such problems.

Symptoms and treatment of acne

Following are the symptoms of acne:

  • Whiteheads (closed pores)
  • Blackheads (open pores)
  • Small red, tender bumps
  • Pimples, which are papules with pus at their tips
  • Large, solid, painful lumps beneath the surface of the skin
  • Painful, pus-filled lumps beneath the surface of the skin

Following are different methods to treat acne:

  • Apple Cider Vinegar, is made by fermenting apple cider, or the unfiltered juice from pressed apples. It can treat acne because it is known for its ability to fight many types of bacteria and viruses.
  • Zinc Supplement, Zinc is an essential nutrient that’s important for cell growth, metabolism and immune function. It is also known to be one of the most studied natural treatments for acne.
  • Honey and Cinnamon Mask, both of them are excellent sources of antioxidants. Applying antioxidants like these to the skin is more effective at reducing acne than benzoyl peroxide and retinoid.
  • Acne can also be treated by applying Green Tea to Your Skin, as it is high in antioxidants, and drinking it can promote good health.
  • Aloe Vera, the gel is often added to lotions, creams, ointments and soaps. It is commonly used to treat rashes, burns and other skin conditions.
