ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Pakistan has strongly condemned the blatant use of cluster bombs by Indian security forces targeting innocent civilians along the Line of Control (LoC), and urged the International Community to take notice of it, the Dispatch News Desk (DND) news agency reported.

Earlier Pakistan’s army media wing Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) said that the Indian army used cluster ammunition along the LoC on nights of July 30-31, 2019 and targeted innocent citizens including women and children in Neelum Valley. This resulted, as per the ISPR, in martyrdom of a four-year old boy and injuries to 11 further people.

In a tweet, the Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi said that the use of cluster ammunition is a clear violation of the Geneva Convention and International Laws.

Shah Mahmood Qureshi said that India in its war frenzy is not only sabotaging the regional peace but also committing gross human rights violations along the LoC.

The foreign minister urged the nations of the world to take strict notice of the ongoing situation in Indian Occupied Kashmir (IOK) and the Line of Control.

The Foreign Office Spokesperson Dr Mohammad Faisal also tweeted saying that “Use of cluster ammunition along LOC & deliberate targeting of Civilians by India, is a blatant violation of Convention on Cluster Ammunition & international humanitarian laws.”

Dr Faial said that the International Community should take notice of Indian actions which are violation of International laws.

Moscow says it won’t allow US to silence UNSC on Israeli violence against Palestinians Monitoring Desk: Russian envoy in United Nations Vasily Nebenzya said that the UN Security Council should bring peace, stability and prosperity to the Middle East and Russia would not allow United States to silence UNSC over the issue of Gaza crisis. According to TASS news Agency, Nebenzya said that Moscow will continue to call for an end to violence against Palestinians and will not allow the US to muzzle the UN Security Council as Washington seeks to support Israel's operation in Gaza. "We will continue to stand firmly for ending violence against the Palestinians. Without a shadow of a doubt, we will continue to expose the abuses and sanctimony with which the US is handling the situation. We will not allow the Americans to gag the entire council with their hands in an effort to encourage further continuation of Israel's ruthless operation," he said in a speech at the Security Council.
