ISLAMABAD: The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) said foolproof mechanism has been prepared for the safety of ballot papers to ensure free and fair elections.
Director General Election Commission Sher Afgan in an interview warned that strict action would be taken against elements found involved in distribution of fake ballot papers.
He said full security will also be provided to the male as well as female polling staff on the polling day.
He said security personnel would be deployed near polling stations for the protection of election staff.
