ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi has said that he held a detailed telephonic talk with his Iranian Counterpart Mohammad Javad Zarif today and he assured full cooperation to trace elements involved in an attack on a bus on Makran Coastal Highway.

Last Thursday, terrorists forcibly offloaded at least 14 persons from a passenger bus on the Makran Coastal Highway in Balochistan’s Ormara area and shot them dead.

While addressing a News Conference in Islamabad on Saturday, Shah Mahmood Qureshi said that Pakistan has shared an actionable intelligence with the Iranian authorities after investigation about the involvement of these elements in the recent terrorist act on the Coastal Highway.

The foreign minister said that BRAs, an alliance of three Baloch terrorist organizations, carried out the attack which killed 14 people including 11 personnel of Pakistan Navy, Air Force and Coast Guards. He said these Baloch terrorist outfits have logistic camps inside the Iranian border.

Qureshi further said that Iran is a fraternal neighboring Country and we have longstanding relationship with it. He expressed the confidence that Tehran will take action against these outfits.

Earlier on Friday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs also sent a letter to the Iranian Embassy in Islamabad, lodging a strong protest with Iran regarding its inaction against terror groups believed to be involved in the Ormara massacre.
