ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The new Foreign Secretary Sohail Mahmood called on the Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi in Islamabad on Wednesday and discussed different contours of the foreign policy.
The foreign minister congratulated Sohail Mahmood on assuming the charge of the foreign secretary.
Shah Mahmood Qureshi said that Sohail Mahmood is a seasoned and experienced diplomat, and he has a long experience of serving at important positions including as the High Commissioner to India.

In his remarks, the new foreign secretary said that he will make utmost efforts to perform his duties to the best of his capabilities.
Sohail Mahmood has replaced Tehmina Janjua as the new secretary.
Separately, the outgoing Foreign Secretary Tehmina Janjua also paid farewell call on the foreign minister, who eulogized her meritorious services for the Country.
The foreign minister said that Tehmina Janjua is an exemple especially for Pakistani women.
