ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: As many as 1139 innocent people were martyred in Indian Occupied Kashmir (IOK) during last five years, the Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi told the National Assembly.

The minister told the House in a written reply that the human rights violations by the Indian Occupation Forces in IOK continue unabated.

Shah Mahmood Qureshi told that according to the Kashmir Media Service (KMS), 161 innocent Kashmiris were martyred in 2014, 156 in 2015, 156 in 2016, 291 in 2017, and 375 in 2018.

The foreign minister told that 2018 was one of the deadliest years in Indian Occupied Jammu and Kashmir in which Indian Occupation Forces killed more than 350 innocent Kashmiris and blinded and maimed many more including women and children.

14 Pakistanis detained in Central Asian Jails

In reply to a question, Qureshi told that 14 Pakistanis are detained in the jails of Central Asian States at present.

The minister told that nine Pakistanis are detained in Kyrgyz Republic for charges of fake ravel documents murder, human trafficking, defrauding Pakistani and foreign students, entry into Kyrgyzstan without travel documents.

Likewise, four Pakistanis are incarcerated in Azerbaijan for charges of sexual assaults and forged documents, two in Tajikistan for charges of travel on forged document and drug smuggling, and one in Kazakhstan for drug smuggling charges.

In addition, there are 77 Pakistani prisoners imprisoned in various jails in France, the minister told.
