Lecturers Jobs in Punjab

The Punjab High Education Department (PHED) has sent two requisitions to the Punjab Public Service Commission (PPSC) for filling up 2978 posts of Lecturers in BS-17.

The requisitions were sent to the PPSC earlier in December 2018 for making recruitments against 2978 posts including all quotas (on regular basis) of different cadres in the Punjab HED.

As per the requisitions, 1772 posts of female lecturers and 1206 male lecturers in BS-17 Pay scale will be fulfilled.

In the requisitions letter, it was also informed to the PPSC that the policy of the awards of five marks to College Teaching Interns (CTIs) has been revised to remove the discrimination among other eligible candidates; therefore, these marks shall not be awarded to any candidate.

The aspirants having acquired the master’s degrees in 30 subjects will be eligible to apply for the lecturers posts.

For male lectures, 1117 posts will be fulfilled on open merit, 98 posts through five percent reserved minority quota and 32 posts through three percent disable quota.

Likewise 1642 posts of female lectures will be fulfilled on open merit, 77 posts through five percent minority quota and 42 posts through three percent disable quota.

It is likely that the PPSC will soon advertise the aforesaid posts and carry forward the further process accordingly.
