Queen Beatrix of the Netherlands, pass the crown to his son, 45-year-old Willem-Alexander, Prince of Orange, gave a farewell address to his subjects. In it the Queen thanked the Dutch for “hot devotion” and urged them to support the new king. Prince officially becomes King of the Netherlands on April 30, reports BBC BBC.

Queen Beatrix expressed her confidence that Willem-Alexander will be a good king. According to her, he is well prepared for this role, and will stand above the interests of political parties and pressure groups.
