PoliticsThere shouldn't be impression of revenge in democracy: Bilawal

SUKKUR, Pakistan: The Chairman Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has said that in democracy there should not be an impression of revenge, adding that democracy is meant to protect basic rights.

While addressing media representatives in Sukkur on Thursday, Bilawal said that this has been a biggest achievement that we are moving towards the second general elections under civilian rule.

“We are moving towards the transfer of power,” Bilawal Bhutto said.

The Chairman PPP said that the Contesting Candidates are still being threatened and terrorized.

Bilawal Bhutto said that there are still many weaknesses in the Country which can’t be ignored. He said that basic rights can’t be ignored, and it requires the strengthening of democracy to ensure provision of basic rigths to the masses.

Bilawal said that the public has highly supported me during the 2018 election campaign. He said that PPP has been a farmer and labor friendly party.

“PPP wants action against only those who were involved in Lyari conspiracy,” he added.

Furthermore, he said that 5th July is a black day in Pakistan’s history as martial law was imposed in Pakistan on this day in 1977 by the former military dictator Ziaul Haq.

Moscow says it won’t allow US to silence UNSC on Israeli violence against Palestinians Monitoring Desk: Russian envoy in United Nations Vasily Nebenzya said that the UN Security Council should bring peace, stability and prosperity to the Middle East and Russia would not allow United States to silence UNSC over the issue of Gaza crisis. According to TASS news Agency, Nebenzya said that Moscow will continue to call for an end to violence against Palestinians and will not allow the US to muzzle the UN Security Council as Washington seeks to support Israel's operation in Gaza. "We will continue to stand firmly for ending violence against the Palestinians. Without a shadow of a doubt, we will continue to expose the abuses and sanctimony with which the US is handling the situation.
