ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has decided to take disciplinary action against its members who violated the party discipline.

In a statement issued by the PTI Central Media Department on Tuesday, the PTI Spokesman said that disciplinary proceedings would be initiated against those PTI members who were contesting general elections 2018 as independent candidates after not being awarded party tickets.

The PTI Spokesman said that names of those PTI members would be forwarded to a two-member committee consisting of Naeem Ul Haq and Arshad Dad.

The Spokesman said that all PTI members had submitted affidavits that they would not contest the elections 2018 as independent candidates if they didn’t get party tickets.

The PTI Spokesman said that not only it was tantamount to violating party discipline rather it was also against the affidavits submitted by them and article 63 and 63.

Moreover, he said that the two-member committee would carry out disciplinary proceedings against such members, and would submit the report to the Chairman PTI Imran Khan.

The Spokesman further said that the disciplinary action would be initiated soon.
