LAHORE, Pakistan: The Chairman Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Bilawal Bhutto Zardari on Wednesday visited the residence of late Asma Jahangir in Lahore and offered condolences to her family members.

Bilawal Bhutto paid tributes to late Asma Jahangir for her valiant life-long struggle for human rights, restoration of democracy and the Constitution.

Later talking to media, the Chairman PPP said he had come there to express condolence with the bereaved family of lawyer and human rights activist Asma Jahangir.

Bilawal said Asma Jahangir wanted a progressive Pakistan. He said the entire Pakistan was united during funeral prayers of Asma Jahangir.

The Chairman PPP said his party wanted a Pakistan where human rights were respected. He said the people having progressive thinking should not be disappointed.

“We will rebuild progressive and prosperous Lahore,” Bilawal Bhutto said.

Bilawal Bhutto further said the President Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Nawaz Sharif didn’t want judicial reforms.

Commenting on the Supremacy of the Parliament, the Chairman PPP said the Parliament was Supreme and free to make any legislation. He also said horse trading in the upcoming Senate Election should be stopped.
