ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Season first snowfall occurred in the month of November in Gilgit-Baltistan attracted a large number of tourists from across the Country to enjoy the chilly weather.

The mountains of Gilgit-Baltistan under white blankets of snow have enhanced the beauty of place manifold attracting many tourists from all over Pakistan.

According to locals, tourists including women and children were visiting Gilgit-Baltistan and Khunjerab to enjoy snowfall.

A tourists Rizwan Baig said that “Jeep safari in Gilgit-Baltistan was also a big adventure for tourists these days and they seem enthusiastic despite intense cold.”

Above three feet snow has been recorded so far in Gilgit-Baltistan and Khunjerab in the month of November.

Meanwhile intense cold spell has continued to grip parts of the region.

An official of Pakistan Tourism Development Corporation (PTDC) said that “During current season people thronged to number of northern areas with their family and children to enjoy winters, PTDC motels received record breaking booking orders.”
