ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: In a bid to further accelerate efforts to bolster Pakistan-Uzbekistan Defence Cooperation, the Chief of Pakistan Air Force (PAF) Air Chief Marshal Sohail Aman will tour Tashkent this month.

Defence sources said that the PAF Chief will reach Tashkent on September 25 for a three-day official visit which will end on September 27.

The PAF Chief is scheduled to hold bilateral meetings with Uzbekistan’s Defence Minister Abdusalom Azizov and the Chief of Uzbek Air Force.

The bilateral meetings will revolve around Pak-Uzbek bilateral relations, defence cooperation, joint training exercises by the two Countries’ air forces and possible exchange of expertise in the field of defence, sources said.

Uzbekistan has the strongest and largest air force in Central Asia while Pakistan Air Force is also well equipped with state of the art technologies and has proved its worth and capabilities time and again.
