NationalKPK lashed by moderate rain

PESHAWAR, Pakistan: Heavy to moderate rain lashed different cities and towns of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa during last night viz a viz wee hours of Friday with intermittent intervals, turning the weather pleasant.

Officials in Met Office told that seven millimeter rain has been received by Peshawar, which provided some respite to the dwellers from the scorching heat. The people took sigh of relief and enjoyed pleasant change in the weather.

Balakot has received 33mm rain followed by Kakul 30mm, Dir 28mm, Malamjabba 10mm, Cherat Nowshera, Pattan 06mm, Saidu Sharif 05mm, Lower Dir and Kalam one millimeters respectively.

Gilgit Baltistan’s Hunza district was also lashed by receiving six millimeter rain followed by Gupis and Gilgit one millimeter respectively.

The official said rain-thunderstorm with few heavy falls accompanied by gusty winds is expected at scattered places in upper KPK’s Malakand, Hazara, Peshawar, Kohat, Mardan divisions and Federally Administrated Tribal Areas (FATA) during next 24 hours.

Rain is also predicted at isolated places in Gilgit Baltistan and Bannu divisions during next 24 hours.
