ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The craze of taking selfies with sacrificial animals, has become so popular among youngsters all over the country ahead of Islamic festival of Eid-ul-Azha.

As the days to draw near, citizens have found a unique way of immortalizing their sacrificial animal before the time of sacrifice.

Moreover, these pictures are even being shared among relatives living thousands of miles apart.

The rich are flaunting their social standing by clicking themselves with high-quality or high-priced sacrificial goats and pictures are also being posted enthusiastically on social media.

“This Year we purchased two handsome goats at an exorbitant price. So we had all the more reason to showcase them to as many people as possible”, said Faisal Mukhtar a customer.

Another buyer Zahid’s reason for having a selfie is to send the picture to his aunt staying in Abroad.

“My daughter and I are taking selfies with animals in cattle markets to show pictures to our family. It’s also a nice memento,” said one of the women, Ayesha Javed.

A young girls Wafaa Ahmed said: “I love taking many selfies wherever I go to keep them for myself, as well as to show them to my friends and brothers.”
