LOS ANGELES: In response to US singer-songwriter Madonna’s support for Pussy Riot singers, Moscow could ban her from future trips to Russia.

The 54-year-old pop star backed two Pussy Riot singers at the gigs who are jailed for a protest against Russian President Vladimir Putin. Gig organizers face fines of up to 10,500 pounds while Madonna could be refused future visas, reports the sun.co.uk.

Madonna supported the anti-Putin protest group and spoke in favour of gay rights. She did two shows in Moscow and St. Petersburg last year. But officials now claim her visa did not allow her to work for money.
