LAHORE, Pakistan: A large number of people thronged parks and recreational places to enjoy first Eid holiday in Lahore on Monday.

The Iqbal Park sources told the state-run news agency in Lahore that special arrangements had been made to manage rush of visitors during Eid holidays.

The Lahore Zoo was the most popular place especially for children on the first day of Eidul Fitr.

A good number of people was observed in front of the artificial waterfall at Race Course Park due to hot weather while children enjoyed swings and slides as their parents were also happy to see smiles on faces of their children at Bagh-i-Jinnah (Lawrence Garden).

A visitor to the Lahore Fort, Safina Anjum, while talking to this scribe said she would also visit Minar-i-Pakistan and the Badshahi Masjid with her family.

“We also decided to visit the Iqbal Park despite hot weather”, she added.

Javaid Ahmad, another visitor with his family, said spending time in a park was a healthy and pleasant activity for children.
