ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Met Office forecast slight chance of sighting the new moon of Ramazan on the evening of May 26, 2017 (Friday) – Shaban 29, 1438 Hijri.

The new moon of Ramazan 1438 Hijri will be born on crossing conjunction point at 00-45 Pakistan Standard Time (PST) on 26-05-2017, an official of Met office told the state-run news agency in Islamabad.

The official informed that according to climate record, the weather is expected fair/partly cloudy in most parts of the Country on May 26 evening.

Meanwhile, the meeting of Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee for sighting the crescent of Ramazan on May 26 at the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony.

The committee has announced that on the evening of May 26, corresponding Shaban 29, 1438 Hijri, it would gather to witness the moon of Ramazan ul Mubarak 1438 AH.

The meetings of Zonal/District Ruet-e-Hilal Committees will be held the same day at their respective headquarters at the same time.
