RAWALPINDI, Pakistan: The Corps Commander Rawalpindi Corps Lt General Nadeem Raza and Commander Bahawalpur Corps Lt General Sher Afgun laid wreath and offered fateha at the grave of Lieutenant Khawar Shahab (Shaheed) at Khuiratta on Saturday.

Lieutenant Khawar Shahab along with another army officer was martyred in an exchange of fire in FR Bannu on March 2.Lt Khawar Shahab (Shaheed)

Later, the general officers visited the aggrieved family and paid rich tributes to the Shaheed for the supreme sacrifice while fighting terrorists in FR Bannu, the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) said in a press release.

The Commander Rawalpindi Corps recalled the courage and bravery of the Officer even during his cadetship at Pakistan Military Academy (PMA) wherein Lt Khawar Shaheed achieved a unique distinction of earning Gold Medal in boxing competition.

The father of the Shaheed and other relatives expressed unflinching resolve to contribute even more for peace in the country and maintain integrity and sovereignty of Pakistan.
